What’s more, this little corner of the Atlantic coast benefits from exceptional sunshine! For shopping addicts, a few minutes is all you need to reach the town centre of La Tranche-sur-Mer on foot.
But this charming little seaside resort is also very well located. Just an hour’s drive away, you can be wowed by the Puy du Fou’s Cinescenie, an incredible night time show. Cross just one bridge - and you can walk peacefully through the charming flowered lanes of the Ile de Re. Alternatively, you can set off to admire the old stones of the famous Boyard Fort, which lies just off the coast of the Ile d’Aix (when it isn’t disturbed by guests from the TV show!). A cultural pitstop at the La Rochelle aquarium, to visit the 12,000 sea creatures from more than 600 different species, you’ll certainly learn a thing or two!
