Several hiking routes leave from the village in the direction of the Serra de Tramuntana. It is worth the trip to admire the views of the island from the Castle of Alaró, an ancient fortress. In Alaró you will find all kinds of facilities: bank, pharmacy, restaurants and bars. Every Friday there is a market in the main square, where you can buy fruit and vegetables from local farmers. The beaches are only a few kilometers away from the village, as it is easy to reach several of them in half an hour, such as the beaches of Sóller or those of Puerto de Alcudia. Pets are not allowed.
