Radda in Chianti is situated in Tuscany, a region of soft rolling hills, dotted with cypress trees, a region characterized by sweetness and beauty. This beautiful medieval town, enclosed in large defensive walls, is perched up on a hill-side, between the valleys of Arbia and Pesa. It has ancient origins, having been inhabited since the 9th century and was already mentioned in a document from 1002. The town is characterized by its narrow, winding streets, squares and monuments.
