A rustic and authentic accommodation in a "different" part of the Czech Republic. This apartment is part of a rustic 19th century farmhouse. The farmhouse is situated on top of a hill, opposite the "Chestnut" pub, on the outskirts of a small village in southern Bohemia. The village has a population of just 211. The farmhouse was completely renovated and updated with all the necessary facilities for a great holiday while at the same time preserving its original character and style. The buildings are situated around a covered courtyard and include two apartments (4/6-bedroom and double bedroom), a common room and a giant barn. In and around the orchard behind the farm there is a rustic mini-camping area for tents and caravans. In the garden you will find a terrace with parasol. Children will enjoy the children's pool (3 meters in diameter). The courtyard has a fireplace. You can park on-site.
In the near and wide circumference of Rajka you will find forests and water, art and culture, centuries-old farms and houses dating from the former communist period. The area provides a wonderful mix of old and outdated periods that are reminiscent ofEurope50 years ago. The region consists of rolling landscapes with charming medieval towns and proud castles overlooking the meanderingVltavaRiver. In the spring the fields and hills are filled with the yellows, whites and pinks of apple blossoms while in summer corn and various fruits mature. In autumn the deer come to the fields to forage. Only 8 km away you will find the 9-hole golf course of Český Krumlov. Also 8 km away you have the opportunity for horseback riding through the wilderness. The medieval town of Český Krumlov (11 km) is part of UNESCO's World Heritage list. The whole town is a historical monument. There is culture here as well: theEgonSchieleArtCenterand the annual international music festival. České Budějovice (20 km) is the great provincial capital and offers plenty of shopping and entertainment opportunities. This town is the birthplace of the famous Budweiser beer. Other well-preserved towns include Rožmberk (37 km) and Hluboká (29 km). The Cistercian monastery of Zlatá Koruna, which dates from 1263 (6.5 km), and Vyšší Brod from 1259 (38 km), are also worth a visit. Nature offers water sports and hiking opportunities in the nearbyŠumavaNational Park, alongLakeLipno(34 km) orLakeGreenway(around Třeboň). All in all, this is an exciting environment where you will never be bored!

The "Vymenek" was the residence of the founder of this farm which dates from 1860. The vaulted ceilings recall the time when this intimate apartment was built. This restored house has an entrance hall and a living room (with sitting area and a large dining table) on the ground floor. The kitchen area is equipped with a toaster (upon request), a cooker with 4-gas hobs, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a sink, shower and toilet. On the second floor, underneath the beams, you will find two bedrooms, one furnished with a double bed, the other with two single beds. For small children: a baby bath (upon request), crib and highchair are available. In a separate laundry room there is a centrifuge, iron and ironing board (upon request), washing machine (100 Kč per wash) and tumble dryer. All rooms are heated by way of a central heating system. Outside on the courtyard there is a private terrace.
