- (35km away) - has the baroque "Versailles of Hesse" (Schloss Arolsen), many avenues and one of the most beautiful city scapes in Germany. The Residenzschloss, where Queen Emma was raised, is a good example. It is a great place to visit. TheWewelsburg
- (12km) - is a Renaissance palace. It has 3 towers in a perfectly equal triangular shape. Very special. The Wewelsburg was used as Nazi stronghold during the war ('40-'45). Himmler, leader of the SS, used it as the final headquarters for his generals.Fort Fun
- (58km) - is a magnificent western / adventure park. More than 40 spectacular rides in a large area in the Sauerland. Young and old can enjoy a great day. Approximately 55 kilometers south of Husen there are the higher slopes of the famous ski resorts of Germany: Winterberg and Willingen. In short, all the ingredients are present, including a fantastic rural environment, for a wonderful holiday for both young & old.
